Editorial Overview
Opening in early September '06, Dirty Disco is part of the new wave of trendy nightspot openings in NYC. However, despite the somewhat pretentious door, this venue is still an infant. The space is quite small, but there are two separate floors for drinking, lounging, and shakin' it up a little. Drink prices are a bit over the top (somewhat towering over the prices of NYC's top clubs), and the music isn't yet consistent. However, be patient. While there isn't anything extraordinarily exceptional about this standard bar/lounge, Dirty Disco could be starting a trend with its neighbor The Plumm by extending the much traversed Meatpacking District nightlife scene. |
