Even though The World Bar belongs to The Donald, you would be hard pressed to find any Apprentice rejects running about. However, you will find a scene sans color - seriously, this place is beige on beige. The staff is unbelievably attentive, which is a nice change of pace in Manhattan, and this bar creates a scintillating ambience for that special someone that you want to impress. You feel especially grown up in this bar, and the best feature is the sprawling space that never seems to get too crowded. It's nice to find a place where you can go with a group of friends and actually hear each other. And if you feel the need to feel like a high roller, then order "The World's Most Expensive Cocktail." It will run you 50 smackers, but can you think of another opportunity to sample edible gold? The drinks are a bit on the pricey side, but they are perfection. If you are looking for refined sophistication, then The World Bar is for you. |
